Raymond L. Tow

Raymond L. Tow, 75, of Elkville, passed away at 12:40 A.M., Monday, May 31, 2004 at his residence.
Raymond was a retired mechanic having worked at Sims Ford Sales in Du Quoin for twenty years. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Elkville Fire Department and a Lifetime member of the Coal Belt Fire Protection Association.
He was born May 23, 1929 at Elkville, IL the son of Edward"Doc" and Edith (Wisely) Tow.
He married Rose L. Gray on September 29, 1947 at Vergennes, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Elkville, son- Edward "Butch" Tow and wife Diane of Elkville, sister- Dorothy Karney and husband Art of Elkville, brother- Virgil Tow and wife Mary of St. Louis, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters- Charlotte Foster and Molly May, two brothers- Leroy and Loren Tow.
Funeral services were at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Silas Morgan officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Elkville Cemetery.
